Privacy Policy

BuilderVeda operates this site and is responsible for the personal data described here — the “data controller,” in the language of the EU and UK rules mentioned below. We're based in Gurugram, India. For anything in this policy, including any of the requests under Your choices, email support@builderveda.ai and a human will answer.

Your email address— when you join the waitlist. That's the only thing we ask you for. No name, no account, no payment.

Basic technical data — like your IP address and browser type, which your device sends automatically when you load any website. Our hosting provider records this in standard server logs, and we use your IP briefly to run the bot check and rate limits that keep the waitlist clean.

The option you pick on each quiz question never leaves your browser. The quiz runs entirely on your device: the questions, the answer you choose, and the breakdown you unlock are held in your browser for that visit, and none of it is ever sent to our email provider or attached to your waitlist signup.

Analytics — only if you agree. If you accept analytics in the banner, we record which pages you view and a few key actions so we can see how people find and use the site. For the quiz, that includes starting and finishing it, which questions you were shown, whether you got each one right (never which option you chose), your overall score, and your score in each skill area. If you then join the waitlist, we link that activity to your email. Decline and none of it is collected — you can take the quiz and join the waitlist either way.

Where you came from— if you arrive from a tagged campaign link (for example, a YouTube video), the campaign tags in that link, so we know which content brought you here. Unlike analytics, this one isn't part of the banner choice: if you join the waitlist, the campaign tags are saved alongside your email so we know which content earned the signup. They are only ever attached to a signup you chose to make.

We use your email for one thing: to tell you when BuilderVeda launches and to send occasional product and launch updates. That's it.

We use the technical data to operate the site, prevent abuse, and keep it secure. We use analytics — only with your consent — to understand rough traffic and how well the waitlist is working, and campaign tags to know which content is worth making more of.

If you're in the EU or the UK, the law asks us to name the ground we rely on for each of these. Your email and our analytics rest on your consent — you gave it by joining or by accepting the banner, and you can take it back at any time (see Your choices). The technical data and the campaign tags rest on our legitimate interests: keeping the site up and free of bots, and knowing which of our content brought people here. We've weighed those interests against your privacy and kept the data to the minimum each job needs.

Until you make a choice in the banner, we set no analytics cookies or storage at all — nothing is tracked before you decide.

If you accept, PostHog (our analytics tool, hosted in the EU) stores a first-party cookie and a little browser storage so it can count you as one returning visitor rather than a new one on every page. We also remember your choice so we don't ask again, and we keep your campaign tags for the length of your visit. We don't use any third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

You can change your mind at any time. Use the Cookie preferences link in the footer to bring the banner back and accept or decline again. Withdrawing also clears the analytics identifier stored on your device, so accepting again later starts fresh rather than picking up where you left off.

Separately from analytics, an in-progress quiz is kept in your browser's session storage so a refresh doesn't lose your place. It never leaves your device and your browser discards it when you close the tab.

You can clear these anytime from your browser settings, and declining in the banner keeps everything off.

We don't sell, rent, or trade your email. We don't send spam. We don't run advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We don't use your data to build a profile of you across the web.

Only the service providers that help us run the waitlist and this site. Each one processes your data on our behalf, under contract, and only to provide its service to us:

• Loops — email delivery. Stores your email address and sends you the launch and product updates you signed up for. Based in the United States.
• Vercel — website hosting. Serves this site and keeps standard server logs.
• Cloudflare Turnstile — the bot check on the signup form. Sees your IP address and browser signals to tell a person from a script.
• PostHog — product analytics, hosted in the EU, and only if you accept analytics. If you decline, we send it nothing.

Some of these providers are based outside your country — Loops in particular is in the United States, and we ourselves are in India — so your email may be stored outside the EU or UK. India has no EU adequacy decision, and the US only a partial one that covers organizations certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. So where those rules apply we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK Addendum), which our providers include in their data-processing terms. Our analytics is hosted in the EU.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of BuilderVeda and others. If ownership of BuilderVeda ever changes, your data may transfer as part of that — but this policy would still apply.

We keep your email until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, or until the waitlist has served its purpose. Server logs are kept only as long as needed for security and operations.

You're always in control:

• Unsubscribe from any email using the link at the bottom of it.
• Change or withdraw your analytics choice with the Cookie preferences link in the footer — as easily as you gave it.
• Ask us to show you, correct, or delete the data we hold about you — just email support@builderveda.ai.

Depending on where you live (for example, the EU, UK, or California), you may have additional rights over your personal data. We'll honor those requests — reach us at support@builderveda.ai. If you are in the EU or UK and think we've got it wrong, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

We take reasonable measures to protect your information. That said, no method of transmission or storage is ever 100% secure, so we can't promise absolute security.

BuilderVeda isn't directed to anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you believe someone under 18 has given us their information, email support@builderveda.ai and we'll remove it.

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If the change is significant, we'll do our best to let waitlist members know by email.
